IRONS-ARMSTRONG-GREEN TRIO

We had a fantastic turnout for our first concert of the year. The Amici Ensemble treated us to two lesser known works and a simply splendid rendition of the Trout quintet. I hope those of you who attended enjoyed the concert and will return for the rest of the season.

LEFT AT THE CONCERT
Left behind and unclaimed at the end of the last concert was one dark coloured jacket and a cushion with wide stripes. We also have a very attractive dark coloured cushion left over from last year. Anyone missing these items should ring Wendy van Delden on 905 6070.

BUYING TICKETS IN ADVANCE
If you wish to avoid queuing for tickets at the Memorial Hall on concert days, you can buy them from the ticket counter at Waikanae New World in the two weeks leading up to each concert, at no extra cost.

RETURN OF THE DUNMORES
Sounds like a movie title, doesn't it? A number of you will be pleased to know that John and Joyce Dunmore, who moved to Greenhithe, Auckland, several years ago, have returned to the Kapiti Coast. John and Joyce have been longstanding members of the Society and John was on the Committee in the 1980s and early 1990s as Secretary, President and Newsletter Editor. In 1993, he was given Life Membership in recognition of his services to the Society.

OUR TWO JUNE CONCERTS June is our "super concert" month, with two very special concerts. On Sunday 11 June, we get to hear the winner of last year's Michael Hill Violin Competition, accompanied by none other than Michael Houstoun. A week later, John Chen treats us to a piano recital. Do put both these top rated concerts in your diaries now, if you haven't already done so.
